The surface change alone threw my body off more than I expected, and I kept getting this tight ache that ran along my forearm whenever I made a slightly off-center strike. At first I ignored it because I assumed it was just strain from not warming up, but then I started noticing it even outside of playing. After a bit of searching around I found the golf simulator elbow pain info that broke things down in a simple way. It helped me understand how overworking the same motion—especially with too much grip pressure—basically irritates everything around the elbow. What helped me most was slowing down my sessions and actually doing a warm-up instead of jumping straight into full swings. I swapped out my hitting mat too, because the old one felt like I was hitting straight into a sidewalk, which definitely wasn’t helping. I also had to train myself not to snap my wrist so hard at impact. A couple of small forearm exercises and stretching after each session made a bigger difference than I expected. And of course, taking breaks instead of grinding nonstop kept things from flaring up again. It’s annoying to dial things back, but honestly it’s way better than dealing with weeks of pain when all you want is a decent practice day.
