  I recently encountered a situation where a person took an item but did not pay. I guess it was my own fault for not thinking everything through to the end. Can someone tell me how best to organize payments with porch pickup? I really need help - I don't want to make the same mistake again.

  Honestly, I got caught once - I left the item, but never received payment. Since then, my main advice: always insist on prepayment. This is especially important at porch pick up . I use transfers through bank apps or send a link for payment. Do not agree to “leave it - I'll transfer it later”. Even if the item is inexpensive, this spoils the mood. Learn from my experience: safety is above all, and it is better to start with trust, backed by payment.
